Let there be light

Everything we see is light.

Light reflected off of one surface appears to us as the color blue. Another, red.

This is because those surfaces absorb all the other colors of the spectrum except for blue. Or red.

Of course, there is usually a mixture. It’s not often that you’ll find a PURE yellow. Or white. It’s nearly impossible, in fact.

That’s just the way light is.

There’s no use trying to change it.

Because even though light is everything, in some ways it is also nothing. You can’t taste it.  Touch. Build an igloo or paperback novel out of it.

You can’t even pack light in a box and send it to your friend (in Ashland, Missouri).

So you see….or do you?
