Coupon Person

I’ve tried very hard to be a coupon person. I used one in college. It was embarrassing.

But truthfully, I use them online. Give me a random series of numbers and letters to enter upon checkout and I’m on it. I’ve got it saved to my clipboard and I’m ready to bring it to bear against overwhelming prices. Take that, online consumer electronics market! Ha HA!

But the tangible little coupons they give you on the back of your receipt when you check out, or the omnipresent little clipables that arrive in the packet of ads in the mailbox seemingly every day…I just can’t do it. I just don’t plan that far ahead when it comes to groceries. I don’t want to be tied down by the need to buy something because it’s on sale.

I’m all about a deal, but not a compulsory decision. If they would just activate whatever coupons they have automatically at the checkout I would be a much happier person.
